Out of the sites discussed in chapter six of Anthony Adorantos Mobile And Social Media Journalism, I would say I use Facebook the most. The majority of my likes, comments, and followers/friends all come from Facebook. I don’t really post statuses or share anything. I use Facebook as a way to post and share my own pictures. After looking at some of my most recent albums that I’ve posted the one that go the most likes or comments were the photos I posted from my summer trip to Italy. I think these drew the most attention because they were photos of the beach, the mountains, and the water. I think the beauty and uniqueness of them drew people’s attention. I also think the pictures of all the different kinds of food also caught people’s attention. As stated in the chapter, including photos or videos in your post is an easy way to catch social media users' attention. I have over a thousand friends, but I don’t know how many people actually “like” my page.
I recently just made a Twitter. It was one of the only social media platforms I never really got involved with. Therefore, I only have a few followers at the moment and am only following a few people. My tweet that got the most likes was my article about the Quinnipiac men’s soccer team. It included a visual as well. I am looking to get myself out there more on Twitter and start tweeting more. One way I could get more engagement is using more hashtags in my post. Adoranto talks about how including a hashtag can double engagement and boost it 50 percent for news organizations.

I haven’t really noticed an increase in the amount of views on my site. I think this is the case because I don’t tend to post that much. I use my websites more to see what other people are posting or read about breaking news on someone else’s page. Some of my top visited posts are either videos or an article about breaking news or just news in general. Something I learned from the chapter is that if I am writing a news story it is important to include a link and even a visual to go along with it. It will help give the post more views and engagement. At the, moment I believe my site only has a few visitors. This is the case because I haven’t posted that much yet and it’s still up and coming.
